Today, our managing director, Sam, had the pleasure of visiting the Suffolk
County Council office in Lowestoft to deliver some specialist stairlift
training to a group of 10 Occupational Therapists.
The two-hour session focused on providing practical support and guidance to OTs, covering key topics including understanding user needs, taking accurate measurements and identifying specific staircase requirements to ensure the right solution is recommended every time.
Stairlifts available through a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) often require a
professional assessment and this training gives healthcare professionals
valuable insight into the different types of stairlifts available and suitability
considerations.
It was a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge, answer questions,
support our local community and collaborate with professionals who play
such an important role in helping people maintain their independence at
home.
We would like to thank the team for their warm welcome and engagement
through the session and we look forward to continuing to support local
Occupational Therapists with free expert training and advice.
