Long-term customers are something we’re really proud of at Norfolk Stairlifts and this lovely story from a couple near Kings Lynn is a perfect example of why.
Back in 2013 we installed an Otolift Stairlift in their home, and it’s still going strong today. When his wife’s needs began to change over the years, this retired engineer – and former drag car racer – simply rolled up his sleeves and got to work, adapting it to suit her.
He adapted the original Otolift seat himself, fitting a new seat back to give his wife the upper body support she needed, as her condition developed. Drawing on his motorsports background, the addition included a drag bucket seat, a four-point harness and ankle strap for a practical solution made with real care and knowledge.
It’s a wonderful example of what can be achieved with a little ingenuity and a lot of love and a reminder of why we do what we do here at Norfolk Stairlifts. Helping people stay independent and comfortable in their own homes is at the heart of everything we do and stories like this one mean the world to us.
