The Problem
How to install a stairlift here without blocking the doorway to the living area.
Secondly, how to do it as cheaply as we could!
The Solution
The only practical way to fit a stairlift here with the door immediately at the bottom of the stairs is to use an automatic powered hinge on a Freelift Stairlift. Problem solved!
Curved stairlift rails are bespoke to each property. So, to keep the costs down, Norfolk Stairlifts supplied a reconditioned seat and carriage fitted to a brand new rail.
The automatic hinge folds and unfolds itself as required to allow the seat to finish across the living room doorway so the user has the length of the hall to help stand and sit. When downstairs the user simply operates the remote control to move the stairlift to its parking point on the stairs. The hinged part of the rail will then automatically fold itself away.
Our reconditioned seats are fully guaranteed. Fitting a reconditioned seat from Norfolk Stairlifts to a new stairlift rail can save upto £1000 off the price of a new stairlift.
This is a Freelift Van Gogh from Handicare (also known as a Freecurve). Norfolk Stairlifts have worked with Handicare for many years.
This combination provided a cost effective solution for this lady in Lowestoft. Another installation that Norfolk Stairlifts can be proud of.
