The British Healthcare Trades Association & Norfolk Stairlifts
Norfolk Stairlifts is a member of the BHTA (British Healthcare Trading Association), our details can be found by clicking here to visit the BHTA directly.
What is the BHTA?
The British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) is one of the most established trade associations, but it has a very modern approach when it comes to protecting customers who are looking to make their lives easier by buying a mobility, rehabilitation or homecare product.
Hundreds of companies are members of the BHTA and they range from a small, local showroom selling items such as scooters, wheelchairs, bathlifts and stairlifts, to the largest manufacturers and suppliers in the UK producing and distributing a vast range of products to help from the most sophisticated orthotic device and pressure care systems to the largest installations such as through floor lifts. When you are looking to buy a piece of mobility equipment, perhaps for the first time, you want to know that you are being given the very best advice and dealing with the best company for your needs.
What is the BHTA Code of Practice followed by Norfolk Stairlifts?
The following is from the BHTA: Our Code of Practice (which can be downloaded at the bottom of this page) is at the heart of everything we do. It sets out how we expect our members to behave and offers customers reassurance that they will be dealing with a company they can trust. We actively police what our members do and we offer a complaints mediation and arbitration service if things do go wrong and you have exhausted the company’s complaints procedure.
Our members use the BHTA logo combined with the CTSI Approved Code logo. That’s because the BHTA Code of Practice has been granted approval under the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme (CCAS), run by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. The CTSI only approves codes that have proved effective in safeguarding and promoting the interests of consumers beyond the basic requirements of the law and you can find a list of approved trade bodies here.
